In 1991 the first Miss Nude Australia was held At Crystal T's night club in Sydney. They paraded themselves up and down a runway/catwalk, in a very similar way to which mannequins modeled and posed during a fashion parade, except of course they were as naked as the day they were born. This seemed fine until our winner traveled to Vancouver, Canada, and discovered that she had to perform a show against the best striptease artists in the world.

We were all aghast! We had never seen such a lineup of such beautiful women. They all had their agents and road crews, prop and pyrotechnics experts, hairdressers and makeup specialists with them. Michelle, at that stage of her career had been a topless waitress at various restaurants in Adelaide and had never performed on stage - what a dilemma!! To her credit managed to borrow a costume and she did perform a show. She showed amazing courage in what must have been the most difficult position that she had ever been in True Aussie spirit - a real battler!! We all received an education that week in '91.


WE LIKED IT SO MUCH THAT WE BOUGHT THE COMPANY IN 1992!

In 1992 the newly educated and still current owners of the Miss Nude Australia pageant put together a much harder and stricter criteria for the Miss Nude Australia pageant. Miss Nude Australia had and would compete against the world's best, and nothing but the best and most beautiful entertainer in Australia would do us proud. Miss Nude Australia's looks and show had to be of a world standard.

Judge's were and still are directed to look hard and long at each performer. When they judge her face, they look at her teeth, her smile, her hair. When they judge her body they look at her proportions, shape and her beauty. When they judge her personality they try to discover the person behind the mask, her charm, her grace and her femininity on stage. When they judge her talent they look for her ability to entertain and when they judge her Beauty Queen Image they look for the overall most beautiful woman in the competition, that combines the best of all of these categories.

These guide lines have set the standard for the Miss Nude Australia pageants and it is the reason that Miss Nude Australia not only competes annually in the Miss Nude World pageant, she now is one of the hardest to beat.

The strength of this pageant is to be found in its structure. Preliminary pageants are held in every state each year across this great continent. The winners and 1st runner-up from each state travel to Adelaide, South Australia, and come together in October each year at Adelaide's world famous Crazy Horse to compete in the Miss Nude Australia pageant.


The winner of Miss Nude Australia then represents Australia in the Miss Nude World International pageant.
